今日偕主行-第137章
“主人说:‘又良善又忠心的仆人,你在不多的事上有忠心,我要把许多事派你管理;可以进来享受你主人的快乐’”(太5:21)。
今日偕主行-第137章
His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matthew 25:21. {TDG 144.1}
今日偕主行-第137章
真不知道有多少人一直在等待着机会,要作一番自我牺牲的伟大工作,却忽略了上帝所赐给他们用来证明自己的小小日常试验。那培养男女人生的精神并决定品格的,乃是生活中的小事。这些微不足道的小事,切不可忽略,因为它们可以使人准备妥当,在严重的考验临到时能够忍受得住。……{TDG 144.1}
今日偕主行-第137章
Oh, how many are waiting for opportunity to do some great work of self-sacrifice, and are overlooking the little daily test which God gives to prove them. It is the little things of life that develop the spirit in men and women and determine that character. These trifles cannot be neglected and yet the man be prepared to endure the severe tests, when they are brought to bear upon him.... {TDG 144.2}
今日偕主行-第137章
你们建设品格的功作决没有完成。每天都有一块好砖或者一块坏砖,要安放在这建筑物上面。你们不是建得歪曲不正的,便是正确整齐地、为上帝造成一座华美的殿。因此,不要指望什么大好的机会,而致忽略当前可行小善的许多小小机会。你们在话语、声调、姿态、和容貌上,都可以表达耶稣的精神。那忽略这些小事,而仍然自夸他已经准备好要为主作一番大事的人,就必有落到全然失败的危险。{TDG 144.2}
今日偕主行-第137章
Your character building is by no means finished. Every day a good or a bad brick is placed in the structure. You are either building crookedly, or with exactness and correctness that will make a beautiful temple for God. Therefore, look not for great opportunities, and neglect the present little opportunities of doing little acts of kindness. In words, in tones, in gestures, in looks, you can represent the spirit of Jesus. He who neglects these little things, and yet flatters himself that he is ready to do wonderful things for the Master, will be in danger of failing altogether. {TDG 144.3}
今日偕主行-第137章
人生并不是由某些伟大牺牲和惊人成就所组成的,而是由许多小事组合而成的。和善、亲爱、与礼貌,都是基督徒的标志。……你们需要怀持那存在耶稣之品德中的种种珍贵素质。……我们在彼此交际来往上,总要记得:在别人的经验中,难免会有某些部分业已封禁、避开了世人的眼目。有些悲惨的过去历史,早已记载在天上的卷册中,受着神圣的护卫,阻止了窥探者的眼目。那里存有登记着的种种与困难环境所作长期艰苦的战斗,就是在家庭中所发生的,天天削弱人勇气、信心、信任,直至人性气质几乎堕落到毁灭程度的战斗。可是这一切耶稣全都知道,祂也决不会忘记。对于这样的人,和善与亲切的话语,就好像天使的微笑一般大受欢迎。真朋友坚强有力的援手,较比金银更有价值,大可帮助他恢复作堂堂正正之人的气概。(《信函》1886年16号,5月15日,致圣赫勒那疗养院的两位医生) {TDG 144.3}
今日偕主行-第137章
Life is not made up of great sacrifices and wonderful achievements, but of little things. Kindness and love and courtesy are the marks of the Christian.... You need to cherish the precious qualities that existed in the character of Jesus.... In our association with each other, let it be ever remembered that there are chapters in the experience of others that are sealed from mortal eyes. There are sad histories that are written in the books of heaven, which are sacredly guarded from prying eyes. There stand registered long, hard battles with trying circumstances, arising in the very homes, that day by day sap the courage, the faith, the confidence, until the very manhood seems to fall to ruins. But Jesus knows it all, and He never forgets. To such, words of kindness and of affection are welcome as the smile of angels. A strong, helpful grasp of the hand of a true friend is worth more than gold and silver. It helps him to regain the manhood of the man.—Letter 16, May 15, 1886, to two physicians at the St. Helena Sanitarium. {TDG 144.4}
