从心出发-第204章
7月23日 虱灾和蝇灾
从心出发-第204章
Now Lice and Flies, July 23
从心出发-第204章
“耶和华吩咐摩西说:‘你对亚伦说:伸出你的杖击打地上的尘土,使尘土在埃及遍地变作虱子’”(出8:16)。[1]{FH 216.1}
从心出发-第204章
So the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the land, so that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.’”?Exodus 8:16.{FH 216.1}[1]
从心出发-第204章
青蛙死了,聚拢成堆。如此,法老和全埃及就有了他们虚空的哲学不能驳倒的凭据,知道这种作为不是邪术所能行的,乃是天上的上帝所降的刑罚。[2]{FH 216.2}
从心出发-第204章
The frogs died and were then gathered together in heaps. Here the king and all Egypt had evidence which their vain philosophy could not dispose of, that this work was not accomplished by magic, but was a judgment from the God of heaven.{FH 216.2}[2]
从心出发-第204章
法老见灾祸松缓,就又顽梗地拒绝让以色列人走。于是,亚伦照着上帝的命令伸出他的手来,使埃及遍地上的尘土都变成虱子。法老叫术士们照样而行,却是不能。……术士承认自己黔驴技穷,没有模仿的能力了,说:“这是上帝的手段”(出8:19)。但王仍然不为所动。[3]{FH 216.3}
从心出发-第204章
When the king was relieved of his immediate distress, he again stubbornly refused to let Israel go. Aaron, at the command of God, stretched out his hand and caused the dust of the earth to become lice throughout all the land of Egypt. Pharaoh called upon the magicians to do the same with their enchantments, but they could not.... The magicians themselves acknowledged that their imitative power was at an end, saying, “This is the finger of God.” But the king was still unmoved.{FH 216.3}[3]
从心出发-第204章
在作了再一次尝试,要求“容我的百姓去”(出8:20)之后,就要施行另一种刑罚了。苍蝇遍满房屋和地上,“埃及遍地,就因这成群的苍蝇败坏了”(出8:24)。这些苍蝇并非年中某些季节无害扰人的苍蝇,而是又大又毒的。人畜被咬,疼痛非常。这灾也照着所预告的,没有延及歌珊地。[4]{FH 216.4}
从心出发-第204章
Still another trial was made, after another appeal to “let my people go.” Flies filled the houses and swarmed upon the ground, so that “the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.” These were not such flies as harmlessly annoy us at some seasons of the year, but they were large and venomous. Their sting was very painful to man and beast. It had been previously stated that the land of Goshen would be exempt from this visitation, which was accordingly found to be true.{FH 216.4}[4]
从心出发-第204章
这时法老召来摩西亚伦说他准许以色列人在埃及地祭祀上帝了;但是他们拒绝接受这样的条件。希伯来人所用来献祭的牲畜,乃是埃及人所崇拜的物件;他们对这些动物极其尊敬,若是杀害一只,即或是误杀,也要偿命的。摩西使王确信他们不可能在埃及地献祭给上帝,因为他们选择埃及人视为神圣的某种动物作祭物。[5]{FH 216.5}
从心出发-第204章
Pharaoh now sent for the two brothers and told them that he would allow the Israelites to offer sacrifices in Egypt itself; but this offer was refused. Certain animals were regarded as objects of worship by the Egyptians, and such was the reverence in which these creatures were held that to slay one, even accidentally, was a crime punishable with death. Moses assured the king that it was impossible for them to sacrifice to God in the land of Egypt, for they might select for their offering some one of the animals which the Egyptians considered sacred.{FH 216.5}[5]
从心出发-第204章
摩西再建议走三天的路程到旷野去事奉上帝。法老同意了,并请上帝的仆人代求,使这灾难离开他。他们答应了法老,但警告法老不可再行诡诈。灾难在他们祷告时停止了。但法老的心因顽抗而刚硬,依然不肯容百姓去。——《时兆》,1880年3月11日。[6]{FH 216.6}
从心出发-第204章
Moses again proposed to go three days’ journey into the wilderness. The king consented and begged the servants of God to entreat that the plague might be removed. They promised to do this but cautioned him against dealing deceitfully with them. The plague ceased at their prayer. But the king’s heart had become hardened by his persistent rebellion, and he still refused to let the people go.—Signs of the Times, March 11, 1880.{FH 216.6}[6]
